India celebrates Happy Children’s Day on November 14 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
This year marks the 133rd birth anniversary of Pandit Nehru who was born in 1889 in Allahabad, India.
Nehru was a great advocate for children’s rights and for an all-inclusive education system where knowledge is accessible to all.
Nehru was often called by the name “Chacha Nehru”. Children’s Day is also known as ‘Bal Diwas’ in India.
India’s longest river cruise to Sail from Varanasi in January 2023
The world’s longest luxury river cruise or the Ganga Vilas cruise will sail from Varanasi to Dibrugarh in the longest river journey of 50 days.
The 50 days long journey will cover 27 river systems and visit over 50 tourist sites including World Heritage Sites.
The journey of the world’s longest luxury river cruise will be the single largest river journey by a single river ship in the world.
This journey will also put India and Bangladesh on the river cruise map of the world.
The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal informed that the development of coastal and rover shipping includes cruise services which is one of the priorities of the government.
India to Build its First Hydrogen Fuel Cell Catamaran Vessel
The MoU by the Shipyard was signed in the presence of Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal.
Union Minister for Heavy Industry Mahendra Nath Pandey, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and other dignitaries were part of the event.
The Cochin Shipyard informed us that the air-conditioned hydrogen fuel cell catamaran vessel will have a seating capacity for 100 passengers.
It will be deployed at Varanasi after the test and trials are done in Kochi.

PM Modi Unveiled 108-feet tall ‘Statue of Prosperity’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Statue of Prosperity’ and paid floral tribute to the statue.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, the Governor of Karnataka, Thawar Chand Gehlot, and Union Minister Prahlad Joshi.
PM Modi also flagged off the Chennai-Mysore Vande Bharat Express at Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) railway station.
He also flagged Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan Train at KSR railway station in Bengaluru.
National Workshop about gram panchayat
A three-day National Workshop on Localization of Sustainable Development Goals in Gram Panchayats is being organized during 14 – 16 November 2022 at CIAL Convention Centre, Kochi, in Kerala.
The theme of the workshop is Poverty Free and Enhanced Livelihood Gram Panchayats
The workshop aims to create awareness on the national level importance of addressing (1) marginalization, (2) livelihood, (3) building resilience of vulnerable communities against the sudden shocks brought about by disasters and extreme climate events.
Central government’s new scheme for road safety awareness in state languages
The central government has launched websites like Parivagan, and Sarathi to carry out vehicle and license-related tasks, through which the services are available in Hindi and English languages.
In this case, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has started a new initiative to create awareness in their respective own state languages.
International Trade Fair
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will inaugurate the 41st India International Trade Fair (IITF) will begin on November 14 and will continue till the 27th of November, 2022, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
This year the theme of the trade fair is Vocal for Local, Local to Global. Twenty-nine States and Union Territories and 12 foreign countries are participating in the fair.
Automatic trains – to be introduced
Alstom has signed a contract to manufacture 26- 3-coach Automatic trains to run the Poontamalli-light house metro line in Chennai.
These metro coaches will be 100 per cent indigenously manufactured.
These trains are designed with advanced technology to run without a driver.
CEO of Prasar Bharati was appointed
The President of India has appointed Shri Gaurav Dwivedi, as Executive Member (Chief Executive Officer) in Prasar Bharati for a period of five years from his assumption of charge.
Shri Dwivedi is an Officer of the Indian Administrative Service, Batch of 1995, of the Chattisgarh cadre.
China’s cargo spaceship was launched in space
China to set up its own space centre space the spacecraft was launched by the Long March-7 Y6 rocket from a rocket launch site in Hainan Province, China.
With the success of this mission, China announced that the Chinese space station will be working from the end of the year 2022.
