1st meeting of G20 Finance Track agenda to be held under India’s G20 Presidency in Bangalore
- The first G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies (FCBD) meeting is scheduled to be held from 13th to 15th December 2022 in Bangalore.
- The Indian G20 Presidency will be hosted jointly by the Ministry of Finance and the Reserve Bank of India, and the discussions during the meeting will focus on the agenda for the Finance Track.

- Reorienting international financial institutions to meet the shared global challenges of the 21st century,
- Financing cities of tomorrow,
- Managing global debt vulnerabilities,
- Advancing financial inclusion and
- Productivity gains,
- Financing for climate action
- Sustainable Development Goals.
24×7 Multi-Lingual Tourist Info-Helpline
- The Ministry of Tourism has set up a 24×7 Multi-Lingual Tourist Info-Helpline on the toll-free number 1800111363 or on a short code 1363 this service is to provide support service in terms of information relating to Travel in India and to offer appropriate guidance to tourists in distress while travelling in India.
- The toll-free service was introduced in 12 Languages including 10 international languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic), Hindi and English for domestic and foreign tourists.
Under the Indian Presidency First G20 Development Working Group is to be held in Mumbai
- The first Development Working Group Meeting under India’s Presidency will be held in Mumbai from December 13 -16, 2022, the Development Working Group meetings aim to discuss developmental issues in Developing Countries, Least Developed Countries and Island Countries.
- In these meetings, sessions to be conducted on the Data for Development, the Role of G-20 in Advancing the 2030 Agenda, Infusing New Life into Green Development and Accelerating Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals are organized.
Sri Aurobindo’s 150th birth anniversary event on 13th December
- Sri Aurobindo, born on 15th August 1872, was a great Rishi and a son of Mother India who saw the evolutionary destiny of India and of humankind.
- The programme commemorating, being held in Kamban Kalai Sangam, Pondicherry, and the prime minister will release a commemorative coin and postal stamp in order to honour Sri Aurobindo.
19th Handicraft trade fair organized in Nepal
- Trade and promotion of Nepalese Handicrafts, the Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal have organized the 19th Handicraft Trade Fair in Kathmandu with the motive of enhancing export.
- The trade fair is attracting locals as well as foreign tourists from 9th December to 13th December 2022.
PM lays several various projects in Maharashtra
- The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation various projects worth more than 75,000 crores in Maharashtra on 11 Dec 2022.
- It includes national rail projects worth more than 1500 crores, the National Institute of One Health (NIO), Nagpur and the Nag river pollution abatement project, Nagpur.
- The Prime Minister also dedicated ‘The Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Chandrapur’ to the nation and inaugurated ‘The Centre for Research, Management and Control of Hemoglobinopathies, Chandrapur’.
India’s largest business jet terminal inaugurated at Cochin International Airport
- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the country’s first chartered gateway and a business jet terminal at the Cochin International Airport.
- The business jet terminal was built at a cost of 40 crore rupees by renovating the old domestic terminal and it covers an area of 40,000 sq ft with comfortable lounges, customs and immigration counters, a business centre and other modern facilities.
Permanent judges of Chhattisgarh HC were appointed
- Earlier, the Centre Government had appointed Narendra Kumar Vyas and Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi, as the Additional Judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court, for a period of two years.
- Now as per the provisions under the Constitution, Additional Judges in Chhattisgarh High Court, Narendra Kumar Vyas and Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi are appointed as permanent Judges in the Chhattisgarh High Court.
- Narendra Kumar Vyas, B.Sc., L.L.B. had enrolled as an Advocate on March 16, 1996. He has over 23 years of experience.
- Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi, B.A., LL.B., joined the Judicial Service on 11.07.1990.
National Eminence Award (SIES) 2022
- The 25th Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi National Eminence Award (SIES) ceremony was held in Mumbai, in that ceremony, Former vice president Venkaiah Naidu won the award in the field of public leadership.
- The awards are given in the fields of public leadership, community leadership, science and technology, and social thinkers who have made outstanding contributions in their respective fields.
