The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to release the SSC Stenographer Notification 2024 on their official website i.e., ssc.nic.in, on July 16th, 2024. The application process for SSC Stenographer Group C and D roles will start in July 2024. Eligibility Criteria for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024
To be eligible for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024, all the candidates are required to full-fill all the following criteria and if you have any queries then you can ask in comments:
Nationality
The candidate must be either:
- A Citizen of India
- A Subject of Bhutan
- A Subject of Nepal
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 to settle in India permanently
- A person of Indian origin who has arrived from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle.
Age Limit
- For Grade C posts, the minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years as of 01.07.2024.
- For Grade D posts, the minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years as of 01.07.2024.
Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Government of India rules.
Educational Qualification
- For a Grade C post, it is necessary to have a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
- For Grade D post, passing 10+2 with English and Hindi subjects is necessary.
Physical Fitness
- The candidate should not have any kind of physical defect or weakness because in such a situation he/she is not able to discharge his/her duty properly.

Selection Process
- Based on their performance in the written examination, a selection of candidates will be made.
- The successful candidate will be shortlisted and called to appear in the Skill Test/Stenography Test.

Syllabus
English Language And Comprehension:
English Language, Synonyms, Antonyms, Grammar, Vocabulary, Sentence Structure, Reading Comprehension, and Paragraph Jumble etc. In English language sections, writing ability will also be tested.
General Intelligence And Reasoning:
This paper includes verbal and non-verbal type questions. This exam includes problem-solving analysis, arithmetic reasoning, syllogism, number series, blood relation concepts, visual memory and more.
General Awareness:
This exam will let you test the candidate’s knowledge through questions based on important dates of festivals, current events, name of the author of the book, important sports days, history, general politics, Economy of India, scientific research, economic understanding, and Indian Constitution, current affairs, newspapers, etc.
