The TN MRB has released a notification for AS (General) in Tamil Nadu Medical Service. Candidates can apply online from April 24th to May 15th, 2024. TN MRB Assistant Surgeon (General) Eligibility Criteria 2024
Eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Surgeon (General) under TN Medical Services in terms of educational qualification and age limit is available below.
Education Qualification
- One must hold an MBBS degree from a recognized university, approved by the Medical Council of India.
- He or she should be registered practitioners under the Madras Medical Registration Act and have completed a minimum of twelve months as House Surgeon (CRRI).
- Registration with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council is mandatory.
Age Limit
- The maximum age limit for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC&DNCs, BCs, BCMs is 59 years, while for others like General, it’s 37 years.
- Differently abled candidates have an age limit of 47 years, and ex-servicemen belonging to the “Others” category have an age limit of 50 years.
- The date to calculate the age limit is set for July 01, 2024 by the Tamil Nadu Medical Recruitment Board.

Application Fee 2024
