SSC CPO 2024 – Exam Dates, Application Form, Exam Pattern, Syllabus
SSC CPO exam is also called SSC Sub Inspector (SI). SSC CPO is conducted to recruit Sub Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) and ASI (Assistant Sub Inspectors) in CISF (Central Industrial Security Forces) under the Ministry of Home Affairs for Government of India. Staff Selection Commission accepts applications for Assistant Sub Inspector in the CISF, Assistant Sub Inspector in the Delhi Police, and Sub-Inspector in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Staff Selection Commission will release SSC CPO Notification 2024 online at ssc.nic.in. SSC notification will be released in PDF format which contains all the important details related to SSC CPO exam. Candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility can fill out SSC CPO application form on or before the last date. The total of SSC CPO vacancies will be notified in the official notification.

Steps for SSC CPO Apply Online 2024
Part I Registration
- Visit the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in
- Click on the ‘Apply’ link and find the link for SSC CPO on the new window that appears.
- Select the ‘Examination’ link and then click on ‘Part I Registration.
- Provide all the required details, contact details, name of center and code, educational qualification, and preference of posts.
- Click on ‘Register’ and get the login credentials (Registration Number and Password) once successfully registered.
- Candidates will also get the registration number via email to the registered email ID.
- Use these credentials and fill out the application form.
Part II Registration
- Login and select ‘Part II Registration.
- Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
- Select to pay the application fees via online or offline mode.
- Pay the fee and then upload the documents.
- Upload scanned images of Photograph and Signature.
- View the uploaded images by clicking on ‘Preview’ and confirm it once they are satisfied with the quality of the images.
- A confirmation page will be generated and ready to print.
- Keep the printout for future correspondence.
Documents Specification
- The photo must be clear and with a light-coloured background.
- Candidates must have to look professional and clear in the photograph.
- The signature must be in the running flow and not in different styles.
- Candidates must use plain white paper for the signature and the signature should not be in BLOCK Letters.

- Background for Photo and Signature must be in white/ Light-Colored

Age Limit
The minimum age for candidates is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years. There are also age relaxation for reserved category which is as follows:

SSC CPO Educational Qualification
Candidates must have graduated or some equivalent course in any stream such as BA, BSC, or B.Com from any recognized University.
SSC CPO Physical Standards
A Physical Endurance Test will be conducted for the qualifiers of Paper 1 of SSC CPO 2024. The Physical Standards for applicants are stated below.

Exam Pattern
SSC CPO Exam Pattern is mentioned in the official notification. Candidates planning to prepare for the SSC CPO SI exam must refer to the detailed exam pattern of SSC CPO. From the following table, candidates can check the CPO 2024 exam pattern.
The SSC CPO Selection Process will be completed in 3 stages as follows-
- Stage I– Written exam (Paper I/MCQ type/200 marks)
- Stage II– Physical Endurance Test or PET, PST & Medical Test
- Stage III– Written test (paper II/MCQ type/200 marks)
In case 2 applicants will score equal marks, this will be solved by following these methods-
- Total marks in written exam
- Marks in Paper II
- Marks in Paper I
- Who is senior according to the DOB
- Alphabetical order in the 1st name of the applicants
- Both papers I & II will be of MCQ type.
SSC CPO Paper I Exam Pattern
- The examination will take place in online mode i.e. computer-based
- The written examination comprises two papers Paper I and Paper II
- Paper I will appear in four parts and will have 200 questions for 200 marks.
- The duration of the Paper I exam will be 2 hours.
- The questions paper is also set in Hindi but only parts such as Part A, B, and C of the Paper I exam.

SSC CPO PET/PST Requirements
The PET test will be conducted once the candidate finishes the PST test. SSC CPO Physical Endurance Test is different for both Males and females
Below are SSC CPO Physical Test details highlighting the different activities to be performed by the candidates.
Physical Endurance Test for Male Candidates:
- 100 meters Race in 16 Seconds.
- 1.6 KM Race in 6.5 Minutes
- Long Jump- 3.65 meters in 3 chances
- High Jump-1.2 meters in 3 chances.
Physical Endurance Test for Female Candidates:
- 100 meters Race in 18 Seconds.
- 800 meters Race in 4 Minutes
- Long Jump-2.7 meters in 3 chances
- High Jump-0.9 meters in 3 chances.
SSC CPO Paper II Exam Pattern
- Paper II consists of English Language & Comprehension of 200 questions for 200 marks.
- The duration of the Paper II exam will be 2 hours.
- There will be negative marking which means that 0.25 marks will be deducted in both the papers.
- Both papers Paper I and Paper II will appear in the Objective Type

SSC CPO Medical Test 2024
The candidates who qualified in the physical test will be called for the SSC CPO Medical test. SSC CPO Medical Test is done by the Medical officer of CPAF or any Medical officer/Assistant Surgeon. Candidates who are not fit for the post can appeal to the medical board within 15 days. Criteria for the Medical Test are given below:
- Candidates must not have a knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in their eyes.
- Candidate’s eye standards should be without glasses/lenses.
- Candidate’s minimum Near Vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye)
- Minimum Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)
