RBI Grade B 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to follow the given criteria (as per the previous year RBI Grade B Notification) to be eligible for RBI Grade B 2024 Exam:
RBI Grade B Citizenship & Nationality
• Must be a citizen of India
• Must be a subject of Nepal
• Must be a subject of Bhutan
• Must be a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 and has the intention of settling permanently in India.
• A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
RBI Grade B Age Limit (as of 01/05/2024)
RBI has defined minimum age criteria for appearing in the RBI Officer (Grade ‘B’) examination. Candidates are required to be aged between 21 years and 30 years (both ages included) to apply for the RBI Grade B exam 2024. For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications, the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively.

Note: • Any such full-time course from a recognised University / Institute that is taken after Class XIIth and is at least 3 years duration/ candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination. • Candidates who have passed the Final Examination for Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India may also apply for the post. OR • Any such full-time course from a recognised University / Institute that is taken after graduation and is at least 2 years’ duration / recognised by the Government as equivalent to post-graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination. |
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR | • Essential: a. A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute.ORb. PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute.ORc. Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute. (i) Candidates having a Master’s Degree with Research/Teaching experience at a recognized Indian/Foreign University/ Institute will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of a number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For experience, a probationary period will not be reckoned. |
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM | Essential: a. A Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years. OR b. Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and a one-year post-graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute. RBI Grade B 2024 Selection Process
RBI Grade B 2024 Exam is conducted in three phases, while the Prelims examination is Objective in nature while the Mains examination would comprise the objective as well as descriptive test

RBI Grade B 2024 Exam Pattern
Candidates are required to clear all three phases in order to get a confirmed post as a Grade B Officer in the Reserve Bank of India.
RBI Grade B Prelims Exam Pattern
The prelims exam of RBI Grade-B Officer 2024 comprises a single Paper for 200 marks. A total time of 120 minutes will be given for answering. However, separate time will be allotted for each test.

Note:
- A total time of 120 minutes will be given for the prelim exam. However, separate time will be allotted for each test. - Candidates have to secure minimum marks separately for each test as well as in aggregate.

RBI Grade B Officer Interview Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate marks obtained in Paper-I, Paper II, and Paper III of the Phase II exam. The interview process will carry 50 marks.
RBI Grade B 2024 Application Fees
A total of Rs. 850/- is the application fee to be paid by candidates belonging to the General and OBC Categories for RBI Grade B 2024 exam. The same amount is reduced to Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD Category.
