The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board organizes the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) for recruiting candidates as teachers for primary and upper primary schools in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test is divided into parts by The Teachers’ Recruitment Board. The first exam is divided for the post of primary teacher & the second exam is divided for the Upper Primary Teacher Post.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applying aspirants should not be less than 18 years old and should not exceed 40 years old as per the Govt. rules and regulations.
For Paper 1
- Applicant must qualify the first paper to apply for Secondary Grade Teacher for classes I to V
- Must have B.Ed in NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) BTC in Urdu of 2 years and BTC/ Diploma in Teacher Education / Diploma in Elementary Education from a Recognized Teacher Training Institute / DIET.
- Those aspirants who are appearing for D.E.Ed/B. Ed degree can also apply.
For Paper 2
- Applicant must qualify the second paper for a graduate teacher
- The candidate has a degree in B.Sc. / B.Lit. degree with Zoology, Tamil, and Geography English, Mathematics, Physics, History Chemistry, Botany, as major subjects from a recognized university under 10+2+3 pattern and B.Ed from a recognized university.

Exam Pattern
- A total of 150 MCQ will be asked in the exam-type questions in the exam.
- To finish the entire paper, the aspirant has 3 hours.
- There will be an offline mode of the question paper (an OMR sheet-based examination).
- For each right answer, the candidate gets one mark.
- There is no negative marking in the entrance exam.

Admit card
The Government of Tamil Nadu, Teachers Recruitment Board will release the Admit Card for TNTET 2025 for all the eligible candidates who registered successfully. To download the admit card, candidates are required to enter their registration number and date of birth.

Aspirants can check their results online by using the following instructions:
- First of all, candidates should visit the official website of the conducting body i.e. trb.tn.nic.in
- After that, click on the TNTET 2025 Result on the home page of the official website.
- Now, candidates should enter their TNTET 2025 Exam Roll number in the specified fields
- Then, click on the submit button.
- Soon the Result will be displayed on the new page of the website.
- Candidates can download the result and take the printout of the same for future reference.
