TNUSRB SI Selection Process 2023

The selection process of the TNUSRB Sub Inspector includes the following stages which will be followed by document verification and special marks allotment to the candidates.

Stage 1: Written Test

Stage 2: Physical Measurement Test (PMT)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Endurance Test (EU)

Stage 3: Interview/Viva Voce

Stage 1: Written Test

The written examination is the first stage of the selection process. Part A and Part B make up the majority of the paper. The grade for the entire paper is the same, and each question is worth half a point.

Although the syllabus for both parts differs, candidates must get a minimum of 25 marks in both parts to advance to the next step of the selection process.

Stage 2: Physical Measurement Test/Physical Efficiency Test/Endurance Test

  • PMT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Endurance Test are all part of the second level (ET). Candidates in the open quota must pass the PMT and ET tests according to the commission’s requirements. PMT is waived for ex-CPMF and serving personnel who will retire within a year.
  • PET is worth a maximum of 15 points. ET is the qualifying test for departmental quota applicants, who are exempt from PMT and PET.
  • Following these two tests, all selected applicants participate in a Physical Efficiency Test, which includes a run as well as other activities such as high jump, long jump, shot put throw, and others, depending on their categories.

Special Marks
  • 5 points (for NCC, NSS, and Sports)
  • 5 points (for Medals won in National Police Duty Meet)
  • All of these stages add up to a total of 100 points. Candidates that pass all of the preceding phases are eligible to participate in the document verification procedure.
